This Privacy Policy explains how Flow AI Transcribe ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the Flow AI Transcribe voice‑notes and AI summarization application.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Plain‑language summary

• Flow AI Transcribe is local‑first: by default your recordings, transcripts, and notes are stored only on your device, and we do not store them on our servers.
• If you subscribe to our optional Cloud service, your content is stored and processed in the cloud to provide enhanced results and sync — see Section 3A.
• We are not responsible for recovering local data that is lost (for example, from device loss, deletion, or uninstall). Keep your own backups.
• When you transcribe a recording, your audio is sent to our transcription provider (AssemblyAI).
• When you generate a summary or title, your transcript is sent to Google Gemini, and that content may be used by Google to improve and train their AI models.
• You can avoid sending audio off‑device by using on‑device (offline) transcription where supported.
• We collect usage and error data (Firebase Analytics, PostHog, Sentry) but not your note content. This is anonymous and not tied to your identity, except records of AI usage (transcribe/summarize), which are linked to your account but still contain no content.
• You control your data and can delete it at any time.

1. Who We Are

Flow AI Transcribe is an iOS application that lets you record voice notes, transcribe them to text, and generate AI‑written summaries and titles.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Audio recordings you create in the App.
• Transcripts generated from those recordings.
• Notes, titles, and summaries associated with your recordings.
• Account information (such as an account identifier / email) if you sign in.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage and analytics data (for example: app opens and feature usage events for recording, transcription, summarization, playback, and settings), collected via Firebase Analytics and PostHog. This data records how features are used — it does not include the content of your recordings, transcripts, summaries, or notes.
• Diagnostic and crash data, collected via Sentry, to detect and fix errors. We configure Sentry to scrub sensitive fields (such as authorization headers, tokens, API keys, and passwords) from error reports.
• Device and integrity signals via Firebase App Check and Firebase Remote Config (used to protect our backend and to display maintenance or force‑update screens).
• Security and anti‑abuse logs. To protect the Service, enforce usage limits, and detect and prevent abuse (such as bypassing App Check, extracting or reusing access tokens, or exceeding plan usage), we log your device identifier, user/account ID, and IP address, together with request metadata such as timestamps and the endpoint accessed.
